Gus Atkinson further complicated the injury concerns plaguing England after leaving the field early on day two of the fourth Ashes Test against Australia.

The right-arm seamer felt a problem in his hamstring after the final ball in his spell on Saturday.

The touring camp reported the 27-year-old felt some "soreness" and was to take time away from the action to undergo evaluation "in the coming hours".

The concluding match of the tour in Sydney starts at the end of the week.

The visitors have already lost fast bowlers Mark Wood due to knee trouble and Jofra Archer to a side strain on the current trip.

Matthew Fisher was added to the party as cover for Wood.
