Fox Sports Cuts Ties with Analyst Sanchez, Substitutes Him with Former QB Brees
Fox Sports has ended its relationship with game analyst Mark Sanchez amidst his legal allegations, various sources reported this past Friday.
"It is confirmed that Mark Sanchez is no longer with the network," a Fox spokesperson commented. "We will offer no further comment at this time."
Stepping into the analyst role will be an ex- professional quarterback, Drew Brees, as per the information. He is expected to work alongside play-by-play voice Adam Amin and has a contract to provide commentary through the 2026 season.
Background on the Sanchez Situation
Sanchez, 38 had been sidelined since he was stabbed and subsequently arrested following a fight in an Indianapolis alley with a senior truck driver. He had traveled to commentate on the 5 October game between the Colts and Las Vegas Raiders but was admitted to the hospital and substituted that week by Brady Quinn.
