I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
