Fresh particulars have surfaced about the untimely demises of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and visual artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were found at their residence home on Sunday.

The Alarm

According to a report quoting a family associate, a therapist scheduled for an session first raised the alarm after not being able to enter the home. The practitioner then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives nearby.

After gaining access to the home, Romy discovered her father's body. Reports state she then left the home distraught, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was also inside. A companion who had gone with her promptly called 911. Subsequently, emergency responders found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Developments

Law enforcement have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of premeditated murder, as well as the alleged use of a deadly weapon, said to be a knife. He is now in custody and is ineligible for bail.

Nick Reiner was arrested at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the neighbourhood of Exposition Park, about 15 miles from the scene. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, but his legal counsel, Alan Jackson, indicated his client had a medical issue and would be unable to attend until Wednesday at the earliest.
